Took about 2 hours to assemble. I laid all the pieces out in number order (small stickers on the parts) and laid out all the hardware as well. A socket set would have speeded me up or at least a screw driver with the allen key bit. I used an cordless drill with a screw driver bit for most of the assembly. Use it on low power. It went together rathe easily. I wish the towel bar was a tension bar rather than a wood dow. Would be nice put paper towels there.It is serving the purpose it was purchased for. The hinges on the back for the extended countertop don't work as they should. I need to find the time to look at that a bit more. They work but you have to pull the hinge brace down and take the tension off of it and collapse it. It is supposed to be a quick release kind of design. All in all I am happy with the product for the price. Not as heavy or sturdy as others, but I knew it would not be when I bought it.For manufactured wood, this thing is pretty sturdy! I know you are not supposed to use a drill when you are working with manufactured wood, but because this thing was so time-consuming to put together, I pulled out the drill and slowly drilled the screws in and the wood did not even split or bubble! The directions are 98% pictures (they do have a few helpful tips in words) but they are very detailed! I only struggled with one part, but I was able to look at the next step to figure out the positioning of the board. Even though the directions are easy to follow, it is very time consuming, it took me about four hours to put together, one of those hours my husband helped me but I also took a few breaks to wrangle kids up! This piece has the nice hinges for the drop leaf and the nice hinges for the doors, which is a huge plus! I am very impressed!This was somewhat easy to put together other than the metal pierces with the springs. One spring shot off while I was assembling it! Thank goodness it didn’t hit my kids in the face because they were right beside me ! Also, the metal brackets cut me multiple times. I had to put on my garden gloves so it wouldn’t cut me anymore. Other than that the product is good. The door arrived damaged and I’m still waiting to hear back from customer service. I figure I could assemble it and replace the door once they send the new one. Make sure you wear gloves while assembling the metal brackets !!!It was It took me 2 days to install it by myself drop it on my toe at one point, but I love how it ended up.I live in a studio and needed something compact that wouldn't be too expensive since I likely won't be needing it super long term. This cart was SUCH a good purchase. The price is great, it's such good quality and it fits perfectly in my small space. It did take me a few hours to assemble (though that was likely mainly due to the fact that I don't own a drill so I screwed everything in by hand). But the pros far far far outweigh that small con. 10/10 recommend.I needed more counter space and storage space. This gave me both. Took a couple hours to assemble but wasn’t too difficult. Pretty sturdy and rolls around easily. I am very happy with itLove this little island! We needed some extra counter/drawer space and this does the job without taking up too much room. The drop leaf is great for larger projects when you need even more counter space.Couple things to note about assembly - power tools will be your best friend! Using the screwdriver and allen wrench that are provided will have your hands hurting after the 3 hours it takes to assemble.Also, on one side there is a wooden dowel, which was presumed to be used for paper towels. However, once screwed in, there's no way to take the dowel out unless you loosen the screws each time you want to replace the paper towels. May be best for placing a fabric towel draped over it instead.Overall, really happy so far! Time will tell the durability.Cute but assembly could be easier. Although the wood pieces are labeled, the fasteners are not some screws can go through the wood even though it shouldn’t. Of the three handles, only one came with the 2 needed screws. The other 2 handles were sealed with either one or no screws to attach. Luckily I had a couple screws that worked. The assembly process is tedious. In the end it’s cute enough, but not sure it would be sturdy if I had kids. Good for a single person or couple.
